Sponsors and Supporters

We simply wouldn't have been able to achieve everything we have in the last six years without the level of support and sponsorship from the following organisations and individuals. Thank you from all of us at Team Bullheart!

Mark currently enjoys the support of Hi-Tec, one of the leading Outdoor and Adventure Sports manufacturers in the world. For non-cycling events and activities, Mark wears footwear from their V-Lite range. This is what they say about themselves;

'Hi-Tec Sports now enjoys worldwide recognition as being one of the world leaders in sports and outdoor footwear, with distribution in approximately 100 countries and subsidiary companies in UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Spain, France, Germany and the Benelux.'

Mark doesn't know where the Benelux is, but he does know that he could probably walk or run there in his V-Lite Flash Force trainers.

The very first Team Bullheart fundraising activity was a ride from John O'Groats to Lands End in 2010, which went on to raise over £23K for our chosen charity, Sarcoma UK. If it hadn't been for the generosity of a small, independent bike shop located on the East coast of Scotland, run by a (now) great friend named Chris, we simply wouldn't have got off the ground. Chris and his staff were behind us from the offset, and helped us realise a dream off completing the journey six months after Mark's open heart surgery and just three weeks after chemotherapy had finished.

A principle sponsor of Team Bullheart from the very start, BobSoho have kindly donated funding for race kits, spares and equipment throughout. A genuinely special friendship has resulted in extraordinary generosity from the team at BobSoho, and we wouldn't be where we are without them.

If you know anything about off road cycling, you'll know there is a legendary coach out there with an almost 'supernatural' understanding of how to make you a better rider. That person is Tony 'Jedi' Doyle, and he has worked his magic with a number of Team Bullheart riders over the years, helping them to make the transition from 'okay' through to 'fluid' and 'quick'. Team Bullheart would recommend riders of all abilities to follow the 'Jedi way' to his dedicated coaching centre in Hertfordshire, for strong coffee and great conversation!

What can be said about the Chevalier Brothers, Jay and Nick? Many things, actually. Jay is the original Team Bullheart member, cycling nearly 1000 miles with Mark and his sister in the 2010 epic Bullheart JOGLE that went on to raise nearly £30,000 for Sarcoma UK. Nick, his brother, was foolish enough to jump on board with another epic ride; 365 miles from London to Amsterdam on single-speed bikes in 2013, again raising money for worthy cancer charities such as the UCLH Oncology Fund. They have been tireless in their support of the Team Bullheart philosophy, and never back away from a challenge. And all this whilst providing some of the most innovative and exclusive bespoke carpentry and joinery services in London and the South East!

Niche purveyor of cycling equipment Charlie 'The Bikemonger' Hobbs met Mark at a SSUK event in 2010 in the South East of England; their eyes met, he gave Mark a free t-shirt, and the rest is history. If you want high-end single-speed specific kit for your bearded quasi-exclusive hipster lifestyle, or just damned fine componentry from the likes of Jones, Vassago, Surly or other quality manufacturers then pop along to his shack in sunny Swanage and he'll sort you out.

Udderly Smooth chamois cream has been used (and continues to be used to this day) by members of Team Bullheart from the JOGLE days of 2010. A day spent in the saddle is made a whole lot easier by this innovative product, ensuring your ride is comfortable and pain free!

Nick, owner of Battlefield Cycles in Nuneaton, has been a great mate and supporter of Mark and Team Bullheart from the very beginning - he's even worn the jersey as part of the 2010 Team Bullheart squad that competed at Mountain Mayhem!

He run Battlefield Cycles, a small family cycle business situated in the heart of the midlands whose aim is to promote cycling in all its forms and to provide a friendly and helpful environment for all the family.

They stock a broad range of cycles from some of the best brands available. He also has a kettle, so if you just fancy a chat and a brew they can do that too - just make sure you bring the biscuits..

Mark is lucky enough to ride a Travers Angus bike. Travers custom titanium bikes are a thing of beauty, and the Angus is the pinnacle of cycling technology. The owner of Travers Bikes is a gentleman by the name of Mike Travers, and his 'no compromise' philosophy towards building the best bikes around is something to admire. As well as creating fantastic modes of transport, Mike works tirelessly to develop grassroots competition on a local and national level; and when doing so he uses his influence and network to raise money for the causes supported by Team Bullheart - an astonishing gesture from a kind and humble guy.

And his bikes are amazing!

Set in rural surroundings in Kent, Broomhill Bank is a secondary coeducational special school for students with communication, interaction and associated learning difficulties (diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Severe Specific Language Impairment). It also supports children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in mainstream schools via its outreach services.

Mark is an Assistant Head teacher at the school, and is very humbled by the support demonstrated by staff, parents and students alike as he undertakes fundraising activities.
